Summertour 2006 Part I

Servus you crazy guys and ladies out there!
On friday last week (25.08.06) I came back from my "travel-the-alps" holiday. Flotze, David and I traveled 3 1/2 weeks through the whole alps in order to paddle some nice rivers and to have fun on huge waves together. But some things went totally different:
First, Flotze and I drove with my car to David's new home in Konstanz. There we tried to get all the things (6 boats, 7 paddles, paddle-clothes, normal clothes, a bike and some food) in and on my car. But it didn't fit. So we decided to drive with David's car which is a little bit more bigger (17 years old VW Passat instead of an brandnew Skoda Fabia). Another problem were the lights of his car. When you tried to break every light went on and such funny things happened, hehe. You can see that all basics for a nice adventure existed.
After we had loaded the car we checked the waterlevel of the wave in Bremgarten. We thought that it should be enough (130 kb/sec) and drove to that place (in only 1 hour). Arrived at 7 o'clock we paddled there for 2 hours and made a nice barbecue which was interrupted by the suisse police, pity ;)

This night we slept in the bushes near Bremgarten's school till it started to rain. Then we went under a bike stand. Very gemutlich...after a nice breakfast (still raining) David and I decided to paddle on the wave for a last time before we wanted to drive to the Innvalley. But then things went a little bit wrong for me. I went upside down and hit my head under the water on a stone. Luckily that I didn't get unconscious, so I could make a role. First I put the helmet off and checked my head, thought that I got only a bumb and put it on again. But then I saw blood on my hands and thought: "shit, not bleeding again, fuck!". I told it my buddy david, we went off the water as fast as possible and drove to the hospital in Konstanz where they closed the wound with 6 strings on my head.

- nice wound, or? -

After a further night at David's studenthome we went to the Innvalley on the next day. There I played one week the shuttlebunny for David and Flotze while they had fun on the river (GiarsunGorge, FinstermünsterGorge, ScuolPart and ArdezerGorge).

This is what happened so far...Part II of this funny trip will follow in a few days. You shouldn't miss it because it'll promise more party-and paddling pictures besides a little report as well.
Have a nice day
