Lagwagon-Concert and International Kayakfilmfestival in Rosenheim :)

Hey Ho!
Whats up folks?
Last weekend (20.01.-22.01.2006) I visited a Lagwagon-Concert in Saarbrücken and the International Kayakfilmfestival in Rosenheim. Both events were really cool and I would like to give special thx to the Knobbes-Brothers, Axel and Niklas. These two guys made that awesome weekend possible ... Arrived with the train in Saarbrücken on friday evening I placed my clothes and sleeping-equipment @ Axel's home and we went to the Concert... There we waited 1 hour at the "Garderobe" for leaving our jackets and other 30min for ONE beer. But after the bands started to play, the bar got more emptier which was better for us :) Now you got a beer in 5min... All bands were really nice and made a good party. We left the concert-location at 3 o'clock, I guess...
On the next morning (10 o'clock) we walked to the Kayak Club in Saarbrücken and drove with a pal of the Knobbes-Brothers to Rosenheim. We arrived there after a 5 hour-ride, visited then the famous LaOla Kayak-Shop before going to the Filmfestival. The Festival was awesome, we met a lot of friends and had lots of fun. Our sleeping-place for this weekend was the Prijon-Factory, special thx to them, too. The next day we drove home again...

Report about the Skiing-Trip

Hey Ho!
On monday (02.01.06) this week we (Krebs, Brendel and myself) arrived very well at our hometowns after an 10 hour bus-trip.
Now I try to report a little bit about our skiing-alkoholican-non-girls-adventure :)
We started on monday the 26th and arrived La Plagne (France) in 8 hours. The bus-driver was really funny and drove all the time with high speed. Only a few guys behind my seat, nerved quite a bit. They drank the whole journey ASBACH with COLA and were totally drunken. Then we put all our stuff in the appartment. It was very small, but nice (4 beds, one cooker and a freezer for the beer). First, after all these hectic situations, we needed a few beers. I could say that beer would be our basic food for the next 7 days.

Beer or water? - that's the question :)

The next day we took part in Ski-Guiding for getting more orientation in this Ski-Area but it wasn't very helpfull because our guide was overcharged. As a result of this we left the group after dinner and drove without any aim through the hole area!

nice weather but cold temperatures

During the first few days the weather was very good but clowds appeared always after 1 o'clock and the wind started to blow. But we didn't stopped skiing because we knew that this weather promises sth. positive, too --> more snow. It was really needed because you drove on ice and not on snow. The temperatures moved in a level between -10 and -20 degrees.

Benjamin and the SNOW^^

And Brendel, too

Then, in the evening, I don't know what kind of day it was, we went to a nice bar called "Les
Shooters". This was our most famous bar but it was very expensive: you needed to pay 5€ for a beer O.O!

Le Shooters

The next day we went to the Glacier which lies 3250m above sea-level. It was really cold there but the sun was presented...it was the most amazing moment of the trip because you could see the clowds under you. You needed to drive 30 minutes with a gondola to get there and you were marked of any kind of civilization. If an accident happened you could only be rescued by an helicopter. But now I talked too much, let's have a look at these impressive pictures:

Yeah, the Glacier :)

The way to the Glacier

Nice, or?

The best picture :)

Also important was the Après-Ski after a nice day of skiing! H2O organized that very well and sold a lot of Glühwein again :)

Après-SKI :)

Here are some shots of the skiing (not that you think we were drunken all the time) :

Krebs in his element!

And Krebs did it right :)

On December the 31th the weather was really bad. It snowed the whole day and the wind was really strong! The party on silvester wasn't good because it started very late (I guess at 11 o'clock) and because of the superior number of men there! You could think that you are on an AUGSBURG-GAY-PARTY! Ok, I overdraw. Luckily we had enough beer, so we imported it with our trouser-bags in the pub. As a result of this it made fun to dance between a lof of men, too!

Snowstorm!

Don't look at my nose O.O!

Silvester O.o!

Silvester again (look how many men there are^^)

The next morning!

New year was the best day of the whole week! Warm temperatures (-5 degrees) and really fine and enough snow! As you guess it was very difficult to wake up in the morning because of the happy-new-year party! But we managed it to stay on our Skis at 12 o'clock. Damn I forgot my camera! It's always the same shit, the best moments can't be documented.
We enjoyed this day and packed our stuff in the evening because the next day was time for leaving. On that day the bus had 2 hours retardition and we had to stay all these 2 hours outside in the snow, I can tell you that it was very cold ;)
At 12 o' clock we started the journey back home and arrived in Mannheim at 10 ö'clock in the evening. That's all, I hope you all had such funny holidays, too and a nice happy new year!
